About us
See Progress, Inc. is located in Brighton. Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The company was founded in early 2000 with the goal of enhancing and delivering true customer service through the use of cutting-edge technology. The CEO of this company, Dave Henderson, has been in the Autobody industry for 40 years. His inspiration came from his knowledge of the body shop industry and his love of computers. After his many years of experience, he believes that customer service is what distinguishes body shops.
With more body shops and fewer accidents his goal was to offer something that would enable the customer to have an emotional attachment to their shop. He envisioned the body shop as not just a place where you drop off your vehicle and hope that it will be done on time, but an experience with customers playing the key role. He envisioned the online experience to be a place where customers come back time and again and invite their friends and family to view their vehicle/your shop online.
He also recognized that the intensity of the body shop schedule would not allow any extra work by the advisor and staff. He knew first hand that communication is the element that makes customers happy. Combine that with the new dot.com economy and thus; AutoWatchâ„¢ was born!
See Progress - Exceeding expectations.
Dave Henderson | CEO
Dave Henderson has been in the auto body business since he was 17 years old. He worked as a painter for a short time and as a body repairman for most of his years. He has always enjoyed the challenge that the hard hits offered and found the body repair business to be very rewarding. He always enjoyed the fact that the vehicles could hardly be brought into the building and then would be driven out like new. There are not many businesses where there is that sense of pride and accomplishment. During the last 10 years he became involved with computers which led to the development of the AutoWatch program.
The first AutoWatch program was installed in the shop where he was working, and as soon as he recognized the customers reaction to it he knew he had to market this for other shops. We have seen major changes in this industry over the last 25 years, however David thinks we have more growing and learning to come. He would like to see the industry become even more professional in years to come, and he believes that we are already seeing this trend today. David believes that AutoWatch is one of the key pieces that will take our industry to the next level.
Quotable: "What you see here today is not the work of myself, I only had the vision, but the work of many dedicated people all pulling in the same direction. The AutoWatch program moves ahead because of the great people that are involved with this company. I am grateful for the years that I spent working on cars in the shop, and am very excited at what lies ahead for the collision industry."
Dave is a member of the board of directors for I-CAR, the National Auto Body Council and the Small Business Association of Michigan.
